Kaja Draksler her very own and irresistibly clear sound moves between the aesthetics of European improvised and New Music with echoes of traditional jazz and classical music.BREATHING #43 (COACHING: JOZEF DUMOULIN) Ruben van Cauwenberghe - mondharmonica Lars van de Voorde - piano Jef Manderveld - bas Anke Verslype - drums Opnieuw staat een hele generatie klaar om in de voetsporen van hun coaches te stappen. KAJA DRAKSLER SOLO Kaja Draksler is a Slovenian pianist, currently residing in Copenhagen, where she moved recently, after living in Amsterdam for most of her adult life. In her solo performances, Kaja is interested in finding ways to merge the composition and improvisation by focusing on form and structures. Her very own and irresistibly clear sound moves between the aesthetics of European improvised and New Music with echoes of traditional jazz and classical music, which she studied. In the spirit of the Dutch jazz/improvised music legacy, she is drawn to the idea of erasing the stylistic and historical musical borders, and forging a personal expression and language through composition and improvisation
